With an altitude of 2,300 m and a peak at 2,524 m, it hosts the Kaimaktsalan Ski Center, the highest in Greece.

Also known as the ski resort of the Balkans, it is the highest in Greece and one of the most impressive. Situated on the mountain of the same name—the third tallest in the country at an altitude of 2,524 m—it features 14 slopes of varying difficulty levels that satisfy all winter sports enthusiasts, while its 20 lifts cover every slope and trail. The lowest point of the ski center is at 2,045 m, housing the main chalet, parking facilities, and ski schools, extending up to 2,480 m. The mountain offers exceptional views, and when weather permits, visitors can gaze across to the Thermaic Gulf and the peak of Mount Olympus.
