Museum "The Makedonikos Agonas in Edessa"

27/08/2025

The Museum "The Macedonian Struggle and Edessa" is housed in a building donated by Christos Gesios, located in Edessa's Central Square and dating back to 1936. This building, open to all, preserves the cultural and national heritage of the region, keeping alive the memory of the fighters who sacrificed their lives for Makedonia's freedom.

With the aid of artificial intelligence, Battles are vividly recreated, bringing to life stories lesser-known to younger generations. The heroic Lieutenant Sarantos Agapinos, also known as Tellos Agras and Sub-Lieutenant Ioannis Demestichas, known as Captain Nikiforos, narrate their own struggles, which form the history of the region.
